We woke up really early at about 0400 (jet lag) and just laid in bed for a couple of hours. Eventually went to breakfast around 0630 and started planning our day. We took the Star Ferry from Kowloon to Hong Kong Island, walked to the Peak Tram at ascend Victoria Peak. There were amazing views from the Peak all over Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. The tall buildings in Hong Kong were very impressive. We returned to central by Peak tram and bus. From central we took eh 260 bus to Stanley market. Browsed around the market, which we found to be a little disappointing, before stopping for lunch in a hidden Chinese restaurant populated by locals. Returned to central and took the MTR back to Kowloon and our hotel for a late afternoon naps, which lasted 2.5 hours!
After our nap we went to a massage parlour so that Helen could have a foot and neck massage. We then went to the night market in Temple Street, which was a little disappointing , except for the Tong Tai Sea Food restaurant. We then took the MTR to Lan Kwai Fong to see the expat night club revellers party on to the sound of music beating in your ear drums very offensively!
