Finally got a good sleep. Today is an exploring day. First explore was off to look at Penetanguishene Historic Boat Harbour, we supposed to find an old fortress here but sadly no fortress it seems we were misinformed. Beautiful place but not what we expected. Next explore was was to find out what kind of foods we can expect to get from the Foodland supermarkets we will be using for our re-supplies. Although we will be using B&Bs predominantly there are a few occasions we will be camping on the trail. We were not permitted to bring any of our normal dehydrated foods with us, we will be relying on whatever we can get from these local supermarkets. This is going to different for both us. Following a 1hr 30min drive north to Parry sound we were off on our next explore, a boat trip around Parry Island. Parry Island is up on the North eastern shore of the Georgian Bay. The area is know as the 30,000 island and is nothing short of spectacular, just amazing and we had a fabulous sunny although cold day to enjoy it. Last leg of the day was a 1 hour drive east of Parry Sound to Huntsville to catch up with Paul a friend I met on my first Camino Frances in 2013. We just could not pass up the opportunity seeing we were so close to him. Paul picked us up and ran us out to their cottage just outside Huntsville. Well they are truly blessed, their cottage is set on a small lake in typical mixed Canadian woodland with views and a setting to die for. We spent a fabulous few hours with them and ate a wonderful dinner on the deck looking over the lake as the sun set. Just an amazing part of the world that is so scenic and so typical of my vision of Canada. It was fantastic to catch up with Paul and His wife Carol as well as Ryan thier son who I also met on the Camino.
