I stayed in a simple B&B in Rome town center. The B&B was basic but ideal for my purpose. You have to sign in at the Hotel Caravaggio, however it's easyto find, right around the corner. In case you don't see it there's even a map at the front door of the B&B.
Bar and restaurant
There are no bars in this B&B.
No restaurant in the B&B, but it did have a small breakfast room for customers. It was very small, a bit of a squeeze. If someone got up to get more food, you would have to move sideways to let them get by. The dining was self-service except for the hot drinks. There was a very small kitchen area with one member of staff to clean up after customers and serve hot drinks.
The decor is quite traditional, which was nice. The food was only cold, like fruits, yogurt, cold boiled eggs, croissants, etc. The only warm food available was toast. I personally didn't mind this as I'm not much of a breakfast person, I like just a coffee, some tropical juice and whatever I fancy in the morning (at the time either a croissant or an apple).
Service
Staff spoke very good English and were polite the whole time. The man who showed me to my room also gave me 40 cents in 10 cent pieces to use for the lift!
I bumped into the room cleaner when I came back early one afternoon, he was also very nice to me and polite.
The breakfast staff are polite, a bit quiet, but are quite welcoming.
Building and facilites
Very traditional. It had a marble staircase in the hallway as well as a cage lift with a seat for comfort (close two sets of doors when you use it). Quite unassuming from outside, you could walk right by it.

Free wi-fi in lobby (located in the Hotel Caravaggio around the corner)
Free happy hour between 6pm - 8pm in Hotel Caravaggio (partners with BB Pablo)

Your room
A small room on the fourth floor, however it was quite comfortable for a single person. My room was non-smoking as requested and had an en-suite shower.
It had a desk, bench, wardrobe, a double bed and two side tables. I was quite delighted with this as I booked a room with a single bed and I got a double! Bonus!
The en-suite bathroom was small but suffice for one person.
I loved the view of the Piazza outside the window. It was a set of double doors with window shutters so you could see through the glass windows. You had the option of opening the doors for fresh air and it had a stone fence outside the doors for safety.
The room decor was traditional, a fancy tile mosaic as the headboard. There were lots of painting throughout the room which I felt brightened it up a bit.
Remarks
Some of the steps leading up from the third floor to the fourth floor were a bit loose, they're not dangerous but they still made me a bit cautious.
My room had a loose wall plug which I didn't use, but there were more to use which was nice.
My room also had a loose wall light, again, which I never used. There was a small cage around it as part of the decor so you can't touch it by accident, but I never used it just in case.
