Most restaurants were closed after 4pm on a Sunday. I only ate at this place because I'd been walking for a long time looking for somewhere to eat and the waitress was nice. I passed this place twice before eating here.
Meal
Four cheese pizza. Definitely different to the English version. The flavours are more subtle, which was quite nice as you actually tasted the ingredients. Also, Italian pizza has a very thin, crispy base which I thought brought out the flavours more.
Cost of meal:
12 Euros
Wine and beverages
Caffee americano
Atmosphere and decor
It reminded me of a traditional British cafe. There are pictures on the walls of (I assume) famous people who once ate there. It was modern, painted brightly greens and oranges.
The atmosphere was a bit uncomfortable. It was quiet and the local customers were friendly, but two members of staff made me feel quite out of place.
Dress code
Casual, every day clothing.
Locality
A side street in a quiet area. Between two small Piazzas.
Service
One waitress was very nice and chatty, she was the reason I decided to dine there. She went home shortly afterwards (before my food arrived), however the two remaining waitresses were quite snooty with me - again, because I was English! They finally smiled when I left but neither of the two welcomed me or wished me a good meal or a good day. When I went to pay I had to go to the till and in the end the chef called the waitress to serve me (this is after she walked right by me after looking at me)! Keep in mind that the other one was on a laptop about three foot away from me... I wasn't impressed at this because I even asked if this was the correct area to pay and apparently that wasn't hint enough.
Other remarks
I didn't enjoy my stay after the first waitress left. After that I didn't feel welcome at all and hurried so I could leave. I feel that my stay would have been very different if the first waitress was still working, but that's life! Again, I only gave it two stars because of this nice lady.
