The hotel is very well situated nearby to Washington Union train station with easy access to the centre. The hotel is a tidy, if not uninspiring contemporary, built building used frequently for conferences and business people, an as well as tourists. However, due to its location close to the train station from where all the tourist buses start their tours and the Capitol building, it’s an ideal hotel for those visiting the city for a few days.
Some of the rooms even have a view of the Capitol building which makes for a nice touch at the end of a long walk. The bar, foyer and lounge are all combined into a one large atrium style area extending the full height of the hotel, with an external glazed elevator to get to the rooms towering above the lounge. The breakfast and eating area extends the second floor into a mezzanine dinning area in the atrium giving an airy feeling and an opportunity to people gaze as one enjoys breakfast.
